Chase Tavern Farm Alpacas of Bowdoin, Maine. Alpacas Since 1993. Full-time
farm. Full-time breeders. Full-time commitment to our alpacas, clients
and the industry.
Here
at Chase Tavern Farm we are dedicated to preserving the value and integrity
of the alpaca. We are a full-time breeding facility and family run farm,
owned and operated by Cindy, Tim, Charlie & Petey Lavan. We are
committed to the alpaca industry and breed for quality fiber, conformation
and character. Cindy served on the national alpaca association’s
(AOBA) Board of Directors, and welcomes questions regarding the industry;
its focus and future. She was also chairperson for the national marketing
committee. Tim is an AOBA Certified Fleece, Halter and Performance Judge
and has years of experience showing alpacas in the ring and evaluating
quality both in conformation and fleece.
Cindy and Tim care for the animals, shear the animals and then Cindy
spins,
knits and weaves the wonderful fleece into grand end products sold right
here from the farm and at fiber stores across New England. Chase Tavern
Farm is known throughout the New England area as a producer of fine
quality hand spinning fleeces, having won numerous awards over the years
for our quality fiber and breeding program. Chase Tavern Farm is nationally
known for producing quality alpacas, Huacaya & Suri. In fact, every
alpaca we have ever taken to the national show, has placed in its class!
We are very proud of our alpacas!
